Commercialization of core ASIC for IMT-2000 backbone network
LGE developed an ASIC chip that contains core transmission functions for the backbone network of asynchronous ATM-method next-generation IMT-2000, successfully commercializing it for the first time in the industry. This chip integrated five peripheral chips that were used in the existing system into one chip, reducing that were used in the existing system into one chip, reducing the price remarkably to less than one tenth.
